Safe Sport
Golden State Aquatic is dedicated to providing a safe and positive environment for all its members. We fully endorse and adhere to the guidelines and policies of USA Swimming and the U.S. Center for SafeSport.
What Is Safe Sport?
Safe Sport is USA Swimming's comprehensive abuse prevention program. Its goal is to create a culture of protection for athletes and to provide resources for clubs, coaches, parents, and athletes to recognize, prevent, and respond to abuse in sport.
Our Commitment
- All coaches, officials, staff, and volunteers at Golden State Aquatic are required to complete Safe Sport training and undergo background checks as mandated by USA Swimming.
- We enforce the Minor Athlete Abuse Prevention Policy at all times. This includes policies on one-on-one interactions, social media communication, travel, and more.
- We foster an environment where athletes feel safe to speak up and where reporting concerns is encouraged without fear of retaliation.
